Why can I not get boards in extra wide planks ?

The reason used to be that old boards were cut down from ancient and very wide trees. Now they are able to cut the new narrow trunks in a circular fashion and thereby create extra wide engineered boards from renewable sources.

Constructed from 3 layers of oak they are very stable.
